The TryJesus Ministry mobile app is the official digital home of TryJesus Ministry. Our mission is to bring the Gospel of Jesus Christ closer to believers and seekers around the world by giving you anytime, anywhere access to daily devotions, live and on-demand Christian services, prayer support, ministry giving, and community events. Whether you are in a quiet morning study, on the go, or gathered with your family, the TryJesus Ministry app is designed to help you grow spiritually and stay connected to the Body of Christ.

How TryJesus Ministry Uses Google Sign-In
The TryJesus Ministry mobile app uses Google Sign-In (Google OAuth 2.0) as one of the authentication methods available to our users. We are committed to transparency and strict compliance with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Below we describe exactly what Google account data our app accesses, why we access it, and how we protect it.
OAuth Scopes We Request
- openid — required to confirm your identity.
- profile — used to display your name and profile picture inside the app.
- email — used to create and identify your TryJesus Ministry account, send receipts for donations, and deliver prayer follow-ups.
We do not request access to your Gmail, Google Drive, Contacts, Calendar, or any other sensitive or restricted Google scopes.
How We Use Google User Data
- Create and authenticate your TryJesus Ministry account.
- Personalize your in-app experience (display name, avatar, devotions history).
- Send you prayer follow-ups, event reminders, and donation receipts to the email tied to your Google account.
- Prevent fraudulent sign-ups and keep your account secure.
Limited Use Disclosure: TryJesus Ministry’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
We do not sell, rent, or share your Google account data with third parties for advertising, marketing, or any unrelated purpose. We do not use Google user data to train AI or machine-learning models.
Data Storage, Retention & Security
All user data is transmitted over TLS 1.2+ and stored in encrypted, access-controlled cloud infrastructure. Payment data (tithes and offerings) is processed by PCI-DSS compliant providers and is never stored on our servers. You can request to view, export, or permanently delete your account and associated Google-derived profile data at any time by contacting support@tryjesusministry.org or by using the in-app “Delete My Account” option.
